Terms of Service

Last updated: March 31, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pythia browser extension and the pythialibrary.com website (together, the “Service”), operated by Pythia Library (“Pythia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By installing the extension, creating an account, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pythia is a prompt library tool delivered as a browser extension with a supporting website. The Service allows you to save, organise, search, and reuse prompts for AI platforms. The Service can include cloud synchronisation, version history, and team collaboration features, subject to your subscription plan.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. We use passwordless authentication via magic links; no password is required or stored.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email account associated with your Pythia account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@pythialibrary.com.

You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission, create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, or share account credentials.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Plans

Current pricing and plan structure is displayed at pythialibrary.com. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4.2 Payment and Billing

Payments are processed by a third-party payment service provider. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise a third-party to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your prompts and data are preserved, but features beyond the Free tier (such as version history and team libraries) will become read-only or inaccessible until you resubscribe.

4.4 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access to paid features until the end of that month.

4.5 Plan Downgrades

If you exceed the Free plan limits when your subscription ends (for example, you have more than 25 prompts), your existing data is preserved but you will not be able to create new prompts until you are within the limit. We will never delete your prompts due to a downgrade.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all prompts, captures, and other content you create or save through the Service (“Your Content”). Pythia does not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

5.2 Licence to Pythia

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This includes syncing your prompts across devices, displaying them in the extension interface, sharing them within team libraries you have configured, and (if you have enabled the feature) sending prompt text to an AI service to generate title and tag suggestions.

This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

5.3 Team Libraries

When you save a prompt to a shared team library, it becomes visible to other members of that team according to their role (admin, editor, or viewer). If you leave a team, prompts you contributed to the team library remain accessible to the team unless deleted by a team administrator.

5.4 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the content you save, create, and share through the Service. You agree not to use the Service to store or distribute content that is unlawful, infringes the intellectual property rights of others, or violates any applicable regulations.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or any part of the Service.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, security measures, or access controls.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product.
  • Automate access to the Service (bots, scrapers) without our prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service — including the extension code, website design, branding, logo, documentation, and all related intellectual property — is owned by Pythia Library and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

“Pythia” and the Pythia logo are trademarks of Pythia Library. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Pythia's trademarks, branding, or other proprietary materials.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party AI platforms by injecting a Save button into their pages. Pythia is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these AI platforms in any way.

Your use of third-party services is governed by those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. Pythia is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

If a third-party platform changes its interface or policies in a way that prevents the Pythia extension from functioning, we will make reasonable efforts to update the extension, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted compatibility.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable, uninterrupted access to the Service, but we do not guarantee 100% availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance in advance.

The extension includes offline functionality: prompts cached locally in Chrome's storage remain accessible when you are not connected to the internet. Changes made offline will sync when connectivity is restored.

10. Data and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Our security practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy at pythialibrary.com/privacy.

Key measures include: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security policies in our database, passwordless authentication, and server-side processing of API keys.

You are responsible for the security of the device on which the extension is installed and the email account used for authentication.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. To delete your account and all associated data, contact support@pythialibrary.com or use the account deletion feature when available. If you have an active paid subscription, it will be cancelled automatically when your account is deleted.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content, or fail to pay for a subscription.

We may also terminate or discontinue the Service entirely with at least 30 days' notice. In that event, we will provide you with a reasonable opportunity to export your data.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. If your account is terminated for cause (violation of Terms), you are not entitled to a refund. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, APPROPRIATE, OR USEFUL.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PYTHIA LIBRARY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pythia Library, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the extension at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Malta.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, nothing in this clause affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, or your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

17. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pythia Library regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Pythia Library.
