Terms of Service

1. The Service

Pythia is a free, fully local prompt library tool delivered as a browser extension with a supporting website. The Service lets you save, organise, search, and reuse prompts for supported AI chat platforms (currently claude.ai and chatgpt.com). All of your prompts and captures are stored locally in your own browser — there is no account, backend server, or cloud sync.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. No Account Required

Pythia does not require you to register, create an account, or provide any personal information to use the extension. There is no sign-up, no password, and no login of any kind — your prompt library lives entirely in your browser's local storage.

If you choose to join the waitlist for an upcoming Pro or Team plan on pythialibrary.com, you'll be asked for your email address. Joining the waitlist does not create an account and is entirely optional — it has no effect on your ability to use the free extension.

4. Future Paid Plans

Pythia is currently free to use, with no limits on the number of prompts you can save. We plan to introduce optional paid plans (Pro and Team) in the future, offering features such as cloud sync, version history, and team libraries. These plans are not yet available, and no payment is currently collected through the Service.

When paid plans launch, we will update these Terms to describe pricing, billing, and cancellation, and we will notify users before any charges apply.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all prompts, captures, and other content you create or save through the Service (“Your Content”). Pythia does not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

5.2 No Access by Pythia

Because Pythia is fully local, Your Content is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to, accessed by, or stored on our servers. We do not need a licence to Your Content because we never process, view, or handle it in any way.

You are solely responsible for the content you save through the Service. You agree not to use the Service to store content that is unlawful or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or any part of the Service.
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's security measures.
• Use the Service to develop a competing product.
• Automate access to the Service (bots, scrapers) without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure supporting the pythialibrary.com website.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

Because Pythia has no accounts, we cannot suspend or terminate an individual user's access to the extension itself. We reserve the right to remove you from the waitlist, or to pursue other remedies available to us, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service — including the extension code, website design, branding, logo, documentation, and all related intellectual property — is owned by Pythia Library and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

“Pythia” and the Pythia logo are trademarks of Pythia Library. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Pythia's trademarks, branding, or other proprietary materials.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party AI platforms by injecting a Save button into their pages. Pythia is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these AI platforms in any way.

Your use of third-party services is governed by those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. Pythia is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

If a third-party platform changes its interface or policies in a way that prevents the Pythia extension from functioning, we will make reasonable efforts to update the extension, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted compatibility.

9. Service Availability

Because the extension is fully local, its core save, organise, and reuse features work entirely within your browser and do not depend on our servers being available. We do not guarantee 100% availability of the pythialibrary.com website, the Chrome Web Store, or the remote selector-configuration file the extension periodically fetches, and any of these may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

The extension works fully offline: your saved prompts and captures remain accessible in Chrome's local storage with no internet connection required.

10. Data and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Our practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy at pythialibrary.com/privacy.

Because Your Content never leaves your device, there is no server-side transmission or storage of it for us to secure. You are responsible for the security of the device and browser profile on which the extension is installed, since anyone with access to that browser can access your local prompt library.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension, which immediately removes all of your locally stored prompts and captures from your device. If you've joined the waitlist and want your email address removed, contact support@pythialibrary.com or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

11.2 By Us

Because Pythia has no accounts, we cannot suspend individual access to the extension. We may remove you from the waitlist if you violate these Terms.

We may discontinue the Service (the extension, the website, or both) with at least 30 days' notice where practical. Because your prompts and captures are stored only on your device, discontinuing the Service does not affect your existing local data — it would only mean the extension stops receiving updates or the website becomes unavailable.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. BECAUSE THE EXTENSION RELIES ON SELECTORS TO LOCATE ELEMENTS ON THIRD-PARTY AI PLATFORMS, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SAVE BUTTON OR PROMPT INSERTION WILL FUNCTION CORRECTLY IF THOSE PLATFORMS CHANGE THEIR INTERFACES.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PYTHIA LIBRARY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pythia Library, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, describe the change in the extension's release notes.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and uninstall the extension.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Malta.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, nothing in this clause affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, or your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

17. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pythia Library regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Pythia Library.
